VJP Media exists to support effective communications between its clients and journalists / bloggers. As such we are fundamentally a business about people and that means we handle personal information.
Data protection is a high priority for VJP Media and always has been. The new data protection law known as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) comes into effect on 25 May 2018.
VJP Media collects and processes clients, journalists, bloggers, freelance PR’s, partners, suppliers and contractors data for our legitimate interest in providing PR and media services which help clients and journalists / bloggers work with each other. These services serve the interests of both the clients, who wish to share information about the organisation or projects they represent, and journalists who wish to be kept informed on what is happening in the sectors they cover. This is known as media relations and is a well-established practice.
