VJP Media has represented Manchester Camerata since 2014 helping to raise the profile of the Orchestra, the programme, players and artistic partners. Using a strategic PR campaign, working in conjunction with the in-house marketing team, the campaigns communicate that the Orchestra continue to be innovators, champions of classical music and the ambition to redefine what an Orchestra can do. The strategy is to target new and existing audiences using a mixture of print, broadcast and online PR.
Highlights: Hacienda Classical sell out tour, ABO Award for Orchestra Manager of the Year, RPS Award for Ensemble of the Year, opening Glastonbury Festival 2017 and tripling their audience over two years.
Results: Since 2014 VJP Media has generated in excess of 800 pieces of consumer and music coverage across print, broadcast and online press. Platforms include BBC Breakfast TV, BBC 10 O’clock News, BBC Radio 2, BBC Radio 4, BBC 6 Music and BBC 5 Live; regionals Manchester Evening News, North West Tonight, Granada Reports and BBC Radio Manchester; classical music press Classical Music Magazine, BBC Music Magazine, The Strad, Gramophone and Classic FM; mainstream music press NME, Music Magazine, Mixmag and The Skinny; industry press Arts Professional and International Arts Manager and national press The Telegraph, Guardian, The Times, iNews, Metro and Huffington Post.
“We’ve worked with Vicky for the past three seasons and in that time, she’s made a massive difference to the level of coverage and profile at Camerata. I love her energy and very much value her no-nonsense approach to PR and razor focus on what makes a good story. Vicky supports both strategy and delivery, and put simply, gets results. Whilst Vicky’s based up in Scotland, everyone feels like she’s part of the family. A real asset.”
