VJP Media was hired by Glasgow Life to carry out a PR campaign for the Glasgow 2014’s Commonwealth Games cultural programme including Classics Marathon Day with Nicola Benedetti and the PRS for Music Foundation’s New Music Biennale.
The aim of the campaign was to increase awareness of a selection of key festivals, concerts and performances, from the Glasgow UNESCO City of Music programme, within mainstream press target listings and secure press reviews. The strategy for the campaign was to target national, regional and local press and broadcast media, and for the New Music Biennale VJP Media worked in collaboration with the 20 artist’s PR agencies and Southbank Centre in London.
Results: VJP Media secured over 180 pieces of quality coverage including national press The Times, The Guardian, BBC Radio 3 In Tune, Classic FM, BBC Music Magazine, International Piano and Songlines; preview features in The Herald, The Scotsman, Daily Record, Metro, Classic FM, BBC, STV, The Guardian and The List.
VJP managed a press photo call for a flashmob with Nicola Benedetti outside Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum securing coverage on STV and BBC Reporting Scotland as well as The Herald, The Scotsman, The Times, Daily Record and Evening Times.
